Refund and Cancellation Policies

Refunds or Cancellations

30-day money back guarantee

All of our web hosting plans come with a 30-day money back guarantee. If you cancel your hosting account within 30 days of initial account creation, you will be refunded all monies paid for hosting, irregardless of how many of those 30 days you were hosted with The Living Media.

Restrictions include:

  • you must have abided by our Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service
  • you must have cancelled your account within 30 calendar days of the account creation, as indicated by the timestamp on your welcome letter
Example:
new account created on October 1; account cancelled any time before October 30: full refund given
new account created on October 1; monthly payment made; account renewed on November 1; monthly payment made; account cancelled on November 3: refund given for month of November ONLY

Monies collected for design, development, domain registration, or other services are nonrefundable.

The refund will be refunded according to the method of payment you used to pay for your hosting account: either your card will be credited, or we will refund your PayPal payment.

Cancellations

Any client of The Living Media may cancel their hosting account at any time. There is no minimum notice required to avoid being billed for additional services, as long as the account is current. There is no charge to cancel an account. However, the amount of money that can be refunded may vary.

If you decide to cancel your account and you have paid for more than one month's worth of hosting, you are entitled to a partial refund as long as you have maintained your account in good standing1. When you cancel your account, you will be refunded for any months you have not yet used, or have used less than half of, whichever is smaller.

Example:
account created in October; payment made for one year; account cancelled on July 10; refund given for 3 months (July, August, and September)
account created in October; payment made for one year; account cancelled on July 19; refund given for 2 months (August and September)

If you have not maintained an account in good standing or if you have submitted an excessive amount of support tickets2, the amount of payments that can be refunded varies. You can contact The Living Media's billing department to ask if you are eligible to receive any refund, and if so, how much, before cancelling your account.
